DBS Check Policy

At Allstars Pickleball, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to ensuring that all children can take part in our programmes in a safe and supportive environment.

Our approach to DBS checks

  • All staff and coaches who deliver sessions directly to children hold an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

  • Checks are renewed in line with statutory requirements and monitored through the DBS Update Service where applicable.

  • We maintain secure records of all DBS checks as part of our safeguarding procedures.

  • Any staff member or volunteer without a current DBS will never be left in unsupervised contact with children.

Recruitment and safeguarding

As part of our safer recruitment process:

  • References are taken up for all staff and coaches.

  • Identity and qualification checks are carried out before delivery begins.

  • Safeguarding training is provided to all team members.

Our commitment

By maintaining a strict DBS check policy, we ensure that only suitable, properly vetted adults work with children through Allstars Pickleball. This is central to our wider safeguarding policy and our commitment to putting children first in every activity we deliver.
