Training and Research Policy

At Allstars Pickleball, we are committed to high standards of delivery and continuous improvement. To achieve this, we place a strong focus on staff training and the use of research to inform our practice.

Staff training

  • All coaches complete induction training before delivering sessions.

  • Ongoing professional development is provided to ensure staff remain up to date with best practice in safeguarding, child development, and sports coaching.

  • Specialist workshops and mentoring are offered to strengthen delivery and support staff wellbeing.

  • Training is reviewed regularly to reflect new developments in education and sport.

Research and programme development

  • Our programmes are informed by evidence from sport, education, and child development research.

  • We actively review national and international studies to ensure our approach reflects current thinking in physical literacy, inclusion, and youth sport.

  • Feedback from schools, staff, parents, and children is used as part of our research to continually refine our sessions.

  • Where appropriate, we collaborate with partners and education bodies to share learning and contribute to wider research in children’s physical activity.

Our commitment

By combining training with research, we ensure that Allstars Pickleball programmes are safe, effective, and enriching. This approach supports teachers, schools, and families in giving every child the best possible experience of pickleball.
